CHARLIE ROY

Charlie Roy has now been an artist for over 20 years and is completely self taught. Much of Charlies work is commissioned and the subjects include distilleries,children, animals and the occasional car, lorry, motorbike, aeroplane or steam train. His work can be found in Europe, America and Australia. Charlie has made an extensive study of Scottish wildlife, and has paintedmountains and landscapes all over Scotland. He has a great love of the ScottishIslands, notably Skye and Orkney. In addition to this Charlie has illustrated booklets, had his work exhibited in several Galleries around Scotland and England, co-founded three Galleries and
featured on the cover of the Leopard Magazine.He has developed his technique using a variety of media including watercolours and acrylic but now works principally in oil.
Charlie and his wife, artist, Rachel Ashton and their children are returning to the Northeast to live after seven years in Fife.
