Claire Smith

Clare studied painting and pottery at Edinburgh College of Art in the 1960s. She taught art in Edinburgh for some years before moving to Moray where she continued to teach while also running her pottery business. Eventually she concentrated on the business full time. The pottery is in the small village of Urquhart near Elgin.

Influences include the sea and shore.

Work can also be seen in Logie Steading, Just Art, Tore Gallery, Atholl Gallery, the Jordan Gallery in Crail, Speyside Wildlife Centre.
