Jessie White.

Jessie gained her degree as a mature student in Fine Art in 2001 at Moray College, Elgin where she was nominated for the “International Churchill Society Awards for Fine Art painting”. Her oil painting of “Catterline” saw her through to the final heat, and her seascape “The North Moray Firth” came joint runner up. Based in Forres, Moray she sketches and paints usually by the sea, working mainly in oils but also in watercolour and occasionally acrylics. Chiefly noted for impasto local seascapes of her native Moray, her style is expressionistic, combined with an abstract quality, reflecting her response to the contrasting moods and colours of the Scottish coast. Her work can be seen at:

• Still Life Studio, Aberlour, Moray
• The Gallery, Logie Steading, Forres, Moray
• The House of Bruar, Blair Atholl, Perthshire
