Still Life Picture Framer & Gallery has been established since 1996. Originally based in Dufftown, we moved premises to the nearby village of Aberlour in December 2003. Aberlour is a lovely village with the River Spey running through it and the hills Ben Rinnes and Ben Aigen on either side. Walker's Shortbread, fishing, hill walking, skiing and exploring the Whisky Trail are all features of the area. The Speyside Way runs right through it and brings many tourists to the area.

If you are a visitor to Speyside you will find unique momentoes of the area to return home with. We stock many local scenes including castles, bridges, churches and general landscapes. If you have family connections with the area and have a particular memorable image in mind we may well have something in stock or you could commission Alan Paterson to paint you that special scene or building. Perhaps the church your parents were married in or the old farm you were raised on. This can also be done by mail order if you are not in the vicinity. Personalised Cartoons are also a speciality and can make a unique birthday, wedding gift or retiral present.

Whisky plays an important role in the Speyside area as some of the best drams in the world are made here. We have many paintings and prints covering this subject. Artists Jonathan Wheeler, Alfred Prenzlow, Ian Gray, Harley Miller, and Charlie Roy all exhibit their whisky related work with us. The 2 annual whisky festivals bring in thousands of visitors each year to sample the famous drams of Speyside and partake in the many colourful activities that take place.
